The Community Medical Response Team (CMRT)<\/strong> is an interprofessional team that includes medical, nursing, pharmacy, dental, laboratory and other health students and professionals with the goal of improving community health and wellbeing through active community participation for a more aware, engaged, and healthy community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The CMRT was started during the COVID-19 pandemic to help address the challenges and inequities of the health systems in Sudan. The program was initially focused on COVID-19 prevention and management and has now shifted to focus on general health issues, including community oriented primary care; prevention and management of communicable and noncommunicable diseases; and emergency response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
